Ventura Acoustic Guitar Serial Numbers Identification
Anyone familiar with Ventura guitars, not the Bruno imported versions?
This is the tag inside the guitar. It does not have a serial number anywhere; usually it is right above the Model No. on the tag but this one was printed without it. I know it had to be purchased sometime between 1974-1980 as this belonged to my wife's deceased mother and was purchased new, but we were never able to get a solid answer on year of manufacture, and now that I'm playing it, I just was curious. Not a lot of info out there on these... Any help would be appreciated.

This new Ventura distributor doesn't list this model. These new Venturas I've seen don't look at all like the older ones. The sticker inside the sound hole looked legit. Said 'Designed in America, Built in Japan' It had the model and serial numbers just like all the pictures I had seen of the older Venturas. The serial number of an acoustic is located on the label inside the sound hole of the guitar. All acoustic serial numbers begin with the letter 'A', and are followed by the two digit year prefix. The remaining digits indicate the sequential number of acoustics built to date. Approximate SE Acoustic Serial Numbers (China).
